IR proximity sensor (Sharp GP2Y0A21YK)

Description

IR proximity sensor is a short range infrared proximity sensor. It takes continuous distance readings. It also returns the corresponding analog readings with higher accuracy. The sensor operates between a distance of 10cm to 80cm

Features of IR proximity sensor includes;

• Has a voltage of between 4.5 to 5.5V DC
• It has a working Current of 30mA
• Also has an analog voltage output
• Lastly, it has an update period of 38 ± 10 ms

• It acts as a barrier.
