The LM317 voltage regulator is three terminal positive regulator. It is useful in a wide range of applications because of its fixed voltage output. It employs internal current limiting, thermal shut down and safe operating area. If adequate heat sinking is provided, it can deliver over 1A output current.
LM317 is equivalent to LM7806, LM7809, LM7812, LM7805, LM7905, LM7912, LM117V33, XC6206P332MR.
