TIP120 is an NPN Darlington Transistor. It can be used to switch loads of up to 60 V with a peak current of 8 A. It is suitable for controlling medium and high power electronics. For example motors, solenoids valves, and high power LEDs.
Configuration
Pin No. | Pin Name | Description |
1 | Base | Used to turn ON or OFF the transistor |
2 | Collector | Current flows in through collector and is normally connected to load |
3 | Emitter | Current Drains out through emitter and is normally connected to ground |
